33 Extinguishment of leases

Any lease of all or part of the land will automatically be extinguished on the commonhold association becoming entitled to be registered as proprietor of the freehold of the common parts1. The date when the commonhold association is entitled to be registered as proprietor of the common parts depends on whether the application to register the land as commonhold was made with or without unit-holders; if with unit-holders, this date is when the land is registered as commonhold2; if without unit-holders, the date is the end of the transitional period, when someone other than the applicant
