287 Consumer’s right to redress

287.1 New power

Prior 1 October 20141 a consumer had no right of redress against a trader in the event of a misleading or aggressive commercial practice used by the trader. Instead, she would need to rely on a regulator using its powers. The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 (UTR) now provides a right of redress if 3 conditions are met.
