260 Repair and maintenance contracts

A consumer does not have a right to cancel a contract where the contract is for the provision of urgent repairs and maintenance, and the consumer has specifically requested the trader to visit to undertake the repairs and maintenance1.

However the right to cancel will apply to:

  1. 260.1

        additional services which are requested over and above the urgent repairs and maintenance; and

  2. 260.2

        goods other than those necessary for use in making the repairs or carrying out the maintenance2.
