253 Requirements on trader if contract is concluded by a telephone call

If a trader makes a telephone call to a consumer for the purpose of concluding a distance contract, then the trader must, at the beginning of the call, inform the consumer of the following matters:

  1. 253.1

        the identity of the trader;

  2. 253.2

        the identity of the person on whose behalf the trader is making the call, if relevant; and

  3. 253.3

        the commercial purpose of the call1.
