252.2 Trader to ensure consumer acknowledges that making an order means that the consumer has to pay

A trader has to make sure that the consumer explicitly acknowledges, at the time she places the order, that she has an obligation to pay for an order1.

If the consumer has to activate a button (or a similar function) in order to place her order then the trader must ensure that the button (or similar function) has a label which only:

  1. 252.2.1

        has the words ‘order with obligation to pay’ on it (or some other corresponding unambiguous formulation); and

  2. 252.2.2
