(d) Distance contracts

249 Obligation on trader to provide information before consumer is bound by a distance contract1

The trader has to give or make available to the consumer certain prescribed information2. The consumer will not be bound by a distance contract until:

  1. 249.1

        the information is given or made available; and

  2. 249.2

        if the customer has the right to cancel the contract, a specified form is made available or given to the consumer3.

The information must be provided in a clear and comprehensible manner; and in a way appropriate to the means of distance
