223 Choice of law

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 Part 2 will apply to a consumer contract where the law applicable to the consumer contract is not that of a country or territory of an EEA State, as long as the consumer has a close connection with the United Kingdom1. If no law is chosen or the law is of a EEA state then provisions of Council Regulation (EC) 593/2008 (Rome I) apply2.
