213 Consumer notices

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 Part 2 applies to a notice:

  1. 213.1

        as long as the notice relates to the rights and obligations between a trader and a consumer; or

  2. 213.2

        where the notice purports to exclude or restrict a trader’s liability to a consumer1.

Such notices are known as ‘consumer notices’2.

Consumer Rights Act 2015 Part 2 does not apply to any notice which relates to the rights, obligations and liabilities between an employer and employee3.

A notice includes an announcement (whether or not in writing) and any other communication
