196.3 Choice of one remedy by a consumer prevents consumer choosing other remedy

If a consumer agrees to or requires that the trader effects one of the remedies, the consumer cannot then require the trader to effect the other remedy unless the consumer has allowed the trader a reasonable time1 to effect the remedy that the consumer first chose2.
