184 Liability that is not possible to exclude or restrict

A term of a contract which seeks to exclude or restrict liability arising under the statutory provisions does not bind the consumer1. A term is also not binding on a consumer in a contract to supply goods to the extent that:

  1. 184.1

        a right or remedy is excluded or restricted in respect of a liability under a statutory provision;

  2. 184.2

        the enforcement of such a right or remedy is made subject to a restrictive or onerous condition;
