178.2 What amounts to a price reduction

If the consumer chooses the right to a price reduction, the consumer will keep the goods. The right to a price reduction is a right to:

  1. 178.2.1

        require the trader to reduce:

    1. (a)

          the price by an appropriate amount that the consumer is required to pay under the contract, or

    2. (b)

          anything else that the consumer is required to transfer1; and

  2. 178.2.2

        receive a refund from the trader for what is paid or transferred by the consumer which is above the reduced amount2.
