177.3 Choice of one remedy by a consumer prevents consumer choosing other remedy

If a consumer requires or agrees to the repair or to the replacement of goods, then the consumer cannot:

  1. 177.3.1

        exercise the short-term right to reject; or

  2. 177.3.2

        require the trader to replace or repair them (as the case may be),

unless the consumer has allowed the trader a reasonable time1 to effect the remedy that the consumer first chose2.
