176 Right to reject

176.1 Types of rejection available to the consumer

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 provides 3 different types of rejection:

  1. 176.1.1

        a short-term right to reject1;

  2. 176.1.2

        a final right to reject2;

  3. 176.1.3

        a right to reject if the supplier does not have a right to supply the goods under Consumer Rights Act 2015 s 17(1)3.

Each of the 3 types of rejection entitle the consumer to reject the goods and to treat the contract at an end4.
