173.3 Language and content requirements for a guarantee1

A guarantor has:

  1. 173.3.1

        to use plain and intelligible language in the guarantee in setting out:

    1. (a)

          the contents of the guarantee, and

    2. (b)

          the essential particulars for making a claim under the guarantee2;

  2. 173.3.2

        to state in the guarantee that:

    1. (a)

          the consumer has rights in relation to the goods, and

    2. (b)

          the guarantee does not affect those rights3;

  3. 173.3.3

        to use English if the goods are offered within the territory of the UK4;

  4. 173.3.4

        to state in the guarantee:

    1. (a)

          her name
