170 Provision of pre-contract information

In a contract for the supply of goods, the information that the trader is required to provide to the consumer before the contract can become binding on the consumer is to be treated as a term of the contract1.

The information is that which is set out in the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 Schedules 1 and 2 where an on-premises, off-premises or distance contract is involved2. This is information other than that regarding the main characteristics of the goods3.
