123.2 Contracts concerning marine salvage, charterparty of ship or hovercraft, carriage of goods by ship or hovercraft

UCTA Section 2(1), whereby a person cannot exclude or restrict liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence, extends to:

  1. 123.2.1

        any contract of marine salvage or towage;

  2. 123.2.2

        any charterparty of a ship or hovercraft; and

  3. 123.2.3

        any contract for the carriage of goods by ship or hovercraft,

but the other parts of Section 2, and Sections 3 and 7, do not apply to such contracts1.
