111.15 Risk where delivery at distant place

If the seller, at his own risk, agrees to deliver goods to a place other than the place they are sold, the buyer is nevertheless to bear the risk of the goods deteriorating where such deterioration is necessarily incident to the course of transit1.

The parties are free to agree to an different arrangement.

Note that this section will only apply where the seller is to bear the risk. It would not apply for c & f, cif, or fob contracts.
