111.14 Delivery by carrier

Where a contract requires the seller to send the goods to the buyer, the goods are delivered to the buyer when they are delivered to the carrier1.

The seller enters a contract with the carrier on behalf of the buyer, which must be reasonable taking into account the nature of the goods and the other circumstances of the case, unless otherwise authorised by the buyer. Where the seller fails to do this and the goods are lost or damaged in transit, the buyer may treat the delivery of the goods as not a delivery
