103.2 What items are not classified as ‘goods’

The Sale of Goods Act 1979 does not apply to:

  1. 103.2.1

        intangible assets such as book debts;

  2. 103.2.2

        negotiable instruments;

  3. 103.2.3

        shares;

  4. 103.2.4

        a right in damages;

  5. 103.2.5

        intellectual property and rights in intellectual property; or, in most cases,

  6. 103.2.6

        computer software.
