8 Eligibility to register

Any aircraft not already registered in another state may be registered in the United Kingdom, provided it does not appear to the Civil Aviation Authority, as responsible authority, that an unqualified person holds any ownership interest in the aircraft, or that it could be more expediently registered in some other part of the Commonwealth or that it would be inexpedient in the public interest for the aircraft to be or to continue to be registered in the United Kingdom1. Qualified persons include2:

  1. 8.1

        the Crown;

  2. 8.2

        Commonwealth citizens;

  3. 8.3

        nationals of any European Economic Area (‘EEA’)
