44 Discharge of mortgage

Where a registered mortgage is discharged, the prescribed form must be completed and signed by or on behalf of the mortgagee1 who must provide the Civil Aviation Authority (‘CAA’) with a copy of the document of discharge or receipt for the mortgage money, or of any other document which shows, to the satisfaction of the CAA, that the mortgage has been discharged2. On receipt of these documents and the appropriate fee3, the CAA marks the register entry ‘discharged’ and notifies the mortgagee, mortgagor and owner that it has done so4
