20 Exception to the need to hold an operating licence

The carriage by air for remuneration and/or hire of passengers, mail and/or cargo by ultra-light and non-power-driven aircraft is exempted from the requirement to hold an operating licence1. Flights which do not involve carriage of passengers, mail and/or cargo between different airports are also exempted2. There are no other exclusions and the Civil Aviation Authority does not have any power to grant exemptions.
