51 Appointment by the Charity Commission

In general, the Charity Commission has the same powers as the High Court in:

  1. 51.1

        appointing, discharging or removing a charity trustee or trustee for a charity, or removing an officer or employee; and

  2. 51.2

        vesting or transferring property, or requiring or entitling persons to call for or make transfers of property or payments1.

The jurisdiction is exercisable on an application for that purpose similar to that which is required for a scheme2, and generally the same provisions as to notice, contentious matters, appeals and otherwise apply3. More
