212 Mode of registration

Where the proprietors are the individual trustees, the proprietorship register1 will list them in the normal way and will not indicate that they are the trustees of a charity unless the Land Registrar is requested to do so. The official custodian will be described as holding ‘on behalf of’ the charity concerned. Trustees incorporated under the Charities Act 2011 Part 12 will be given their official title and described as ‘incorporated under Part 12 of the Charities Act 2011’2.
