184 Non-charitable gifts

In the case of a gift for a non-charitable purpose, or to a non-charitable institution, no provision is made for waiver or the making of an ex gratia payment, but since there is no trust which the court will enforce, there is no legal objection to the moral obligation being recognised as the recipient of the gift thinks fit1.
