149 Alternative in case of failure

Quite apart from the possibility of a change or name or a merger, in cases where the proposed recipient charity is small or financially insecure, the prudent testator will make provision for his gift to pass to some other institution if the original charity ceases to exist before the will takes effect. In such a case, any alternative chosen should preferably be larger and more securely established than the original choice1.
