11 Disclosure requirements—companies and limited liability partnerships

A company (or limited liability partnership), unless it has always been dormant, must display its name at its registered office, any inspection place1 or any place where it carries on business unless a liquidator, administrator or administrative receiver has been appointed and the registered office is a place of business of that liquidator, administrator or administrative receiver2.

The registered name of a company (or limited liability partnership) must appear in all forms of business correspondence and documentation, including3:

  1. 11.1

        business letters and notices;

  2. 11.2

        bills of exchange, promissory notes and cheques;

  3. 11.3
