The Montreal Convention and every version of the Warsaw Convention recognise that it is commonplace for passengers to use more than one carrier where their journey encompasses several different points of departure and destination, and that the application of each Convention would be limited if each leg of every such journey were treated as a separate contract by reference to the definition of ‘international carriage’1.
