94 Winding up

As a limited liability partnership (LLP) is a formal legal entity, it must be wound up formally in a very similar way to a limited liability company. The Limited Liability Partnerships Act 2000 makes provision for regulations to be passed applying or incorporating, with appropriate modifications, certain provisions of the Insolvency Act 1986 and any other specified law relating to the insolvency of companies or other corporations in relation to the insolvency and winding up of LLPs1. The Limited Liability Partnerships Regulations 2001 specify the provisions of the Insolvency Act 1986 which are to apply to LLPs
