31.2 Registration instead of approval

One major change of the new pensions system is that pension schemes no longer have to obtain the approval of HM Revenue and Customs in order to obtain tax relief. Instead, they only have to register with HM Revenue and Customs1. There are also significant reductions in the reporting requirements2.
