237 Redundancy in connection with a transfer

The Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 permit dismissals on the grounds of redundancy, as they will normally fall within the economic, technical or organisational reason entailing changes in the workforce exemption1, although the transferee will need to make sure that the redundancy is fair under the normal rules2.
