Although it is impossible to consider the drafting of individual standard terms in detail, the following paragraphs outline the main areas for consideration1. For illustrative purposes, the following paragraphs presuppose that the standard terms have been drafted in relation to a sale of goods contract. Similar issues will arise in the context of other types of contract, such as the supply of services, with appropriate variations.
