145 The relevant information

Whether the business is seeking loan or equity finance, there are five main areas in which a prospective lender or investor will be interested: the business proposition; the management team and other personnel; the business’s operations; the financial plan; and the servicing of the investment. These five areas are now considered in turn.

145.1 The business proposition

This part of the business plan should contain details of the following:

        the type of business and the sector it is in1, its form and legal structure, and where appropriate, its history2;
