10 Stage 3 — the prime stage

If a business is able successfully to negotiate the development stage, it will then eventually find itself in its prime. The market has been penetrated and any decisions as to expansion have been made and implemented. The organisation is now running like a well-oiled machine and ostensibly there is not a lot for management to do. The focus has switched to the sales and marketing departments as they consolidate the organisation’s position in the market place.
