95 Registration of amalgamations

If the amalgamation is confirmed by the Financial Services Authority (FSA)1, the central office must then satisfy itself as regards the proposed rules, memorandum and name of the successor society2. Once the central office is satisfied as to these matters, it must effect the following procedure, that is, it must:

  1. 95.1

        register the successor society;

  2. 95.2

        issue to it a certificate of incorporation specifying a date (‘the specified date’) as from which the incorporation takes effect;

  3. 95.3

        retain and register one copy of the memorandum and of the rules;

  4. 95.4
