76 Appointment of chief executive and secretary

The chief executive and the secretary of a building society must be appointed by the directors1. Notice must be given to the Financial Services Authority (FSA) within one month when any person becomes, or ceases to be, chief executive, which must contain the person’s full name and address and the date on which he became, or ceased to be, chief executive2. The FSA then makes an appropriate entry in the public file of the building society.
