74 Exceptions to building society’s obligation to circulate notice and statement

There are three exceptions to the obligation of a building society to circulate a notice of intention to have a resolution moved at an annual general meeting1.

  1. 74.1

        The building society is not obliged to send notices of a resolution, or a supporting statement, to members, in a case where publicity for the resolution or, as the case may be, the statement, would be likely to diminish substantially the confidence in the society of investing members of the public2.
