71 Number and qualification of members entitled to propose resolutions1

Notice of a members’ resolution (other than a shareholding members’ resolution or a borrowing members’ resolution) must be given by the requisite number of qualified members2. In the case of a building society of which the difference between the total assets of the society3 and the aggregate of the liquid and fixed assets of the society exceeds £100 million, the ‘requisite number’ is 500, or such lesser number as is specified in the rules of the society4.
