64 Date for deposit of proxy instruments

The rules of a building society may require that an instrument appointing a proxy be deposited before the meeting in order to be valid, but may not require it to be deposited earlier than 7 days before the meeting1. If the person appointing a proxy is entitled to attend and vote at the meeting on the last day for the return of proxy instruments, the proxy may attend and vote on his behalf even if the appointor ceases to be so entitled between that date and the date of the meeting
