63 Voting by proxy and declaration by person appointing proxy

Any member of a building society entitled to attend and vote at a meeting of the society may appoint another person, whether a member of the society or not, to attend and vote on his behalf, and may direct the proxy how to vote1. The proxy may vote on a poll, and may demand, or join in demanding, a poll2, but may not vote on a show of hands, unless the rules of the society so permit3.
