62 Voting rights

Unless the rules of a building society make a permissible special provision as to entitlement to vote, those entitled to vote at any meeting of a building society, on an ordinary or special resolution are those who were members at the end of the last financial year, and who are members on the voting date1, and are 18 or more on the date of the meeting2. On shareholding and borrowing members’ resolutions, the persons entitled to vote are those who were, respectively, shareholding or borrowing members of the society at the end of the last financial year,
