27 Use of a building society’s name

A building society’s registered name1 must be painted or affixed and kept painted or affixed, in a conspicuous position and in letters easily legible, on the outside of every office or place in which its business is carried on2, and must be stated in legible characters in all of the following documents:

  1. 27.1

        its business letters;

  2. 27.2

        its account statements, including those relating to deposit, share, loan or mortgage accounts;

  3. 27.3

        its passbooks;

  4. 27.4

        its notices and publications, including all documents sent to members; its invoices and receipts;
