5: INVESTIGATIONS AND SPECIAL MEETINGS

165 General

The Financial Services Authority (FSA)1 may, in certain circumstances, appoint one or more competent inspectors to investigate and report2 on the affairs of a building society, or may call a special meeting of a building society to consider its affairs, or may (either on the same or on different occasions) both appoint an inspector or inspectors and call a special meeting for those purposes3. The FSA may in like circumstances exercise such powers in relation also to a connected undertaking4 of the building society5.
