160 Settlement by the Financial Services Authority

The Financial Services Authority (FSA)1 has jurisdiction2, upon the application3 of a building society or of any other person who claims to be aggrieved, to hear and determine disputes as to the following matters:

  1. 160.1

        whether publicity for an election address furnished to the society by a candidate nominated for election as a director of the society4 would be likely to diminish substantially the confidence in the society of investing members of the public5;

  2. 160.2

        whether publicity for a statement of the matters to be dealt with at a special meeting on members’
