157 Settlement by the court

Except in certain cases1, only the High Court has jurisdiction to hear and determine any dispute between a building society and a member of the society in his capacity as a member, or between a building society and representative of such a member in that capacity, in respect of any rights or obligations arising from the rules of the society or any provision of the Building Societies Act 1986 or any statutory instrument under it2.
