152 Time limits

The Ombudsman may fix time limits and extend fixed time limits for any aspect of the consideration of a complaint by the Financial Ombudsman Service1. If a complainant fails to comply with a time limit, the Ombudsman may either proceed to the next stage or dismiss the complaint2. If a building society fails to comply with a time limit, the Ombudsman may proceed to the next stage of consideration of the complaint and may, if appropriate, make provision for any material distress or material inconvenience caused by that failure in any award which
