145 Eligible complainants

The Ombudsman may only deal with a complaint if it is brought by an eligible complainant1. In order to be an eligible complainant, a person must be a private individual, or a business which has a group annual turnover of less than £1 million, a charity which has an annual income of less than £1 million or a trustee of a trust which has a net asset value of less than £1 million at the time, in each case, that the complainant refers the complaint to the society2.
