118 The transfer document

The transfer statement or transfer summary1 does not have to be a separate document and the Financial Services Authority’s (FSA) preference is for all the information to be provided to members in relation to a transfer proposal to be contained in a single comprehensive document known as a transfer document2. The transfer document should therefore also contain the notice of the meeting at which the transfer resolutions are to be moved3, an explanation of the transfer procedure (including details of the confirmation stage4) and a description of the requirements of the society’s rules concerning entitlement to
