25 The Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996

Terms may also be implied by operation of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 (‘the Act’) into contracts coming within the definition of ‘construction contracts’ as set out in the Act1. The amended Act applies to all ‘construction contracts’ which are entered into after 1 October 20112 and imposes minimum requirements in relation to payment arrangements3 and dispute resolution4 under the contract.
