181 Expert determination

Expert determination is most commonly used to settle disputes as to rent reviews under leases or the value of shares to be bought and sold, and is rarely provided for in construction contracts. A particular use can be in an agreement for a lease where a dispute could arise as to whether construction works have reached the stage of practical completion1.
